12 - 2 tablespoons red and green Christmas sprinkles

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined. Set aside.
03 - In a large bowl, beat unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 2–3 minutes.
04 - Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Blend in vanilla extract and almond extract if using.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
06 - Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
07 - Transfer to oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, until puffed and edges are beginning to turn golden.
08 - Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then move to a wire rack. While still slightly warm, dust with powdered sugar.
09 - Sprinkle half of the cookies with blue and silver sprinkles for Hanukkah, and half with red and green sprinkles for Christmas. Let cool completely.
